Why is Mesopotamia the start of civilization?

Mesopotamia is in between to rivers called the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Mesopotamia is in the Fertile Crescent. That is why they have so many crops. Mesopotamia is next to the Mediterranean sea. They are also near the Persian Gulf. Mesopotamia is next to many seas.
Cuneiform♒
Cuneiform is the first written language. Cuneiform was improved in 500 years until it was finished and people could start writing it. Cuneiform was written in clay tablets. The clay tablets were heated so that the cuneiform didn't erase.
