Rhonda Scharf, CSP, HoF, GSF

ON THE RIGHT TRACK specializes in motivating/ training organizations with a unique expertise in efficiency and effectiveness within the administrative community. I am very confident that I can provide you with a realistic and informative session for your attendees, and make it fun at the same time.

I call it "Edutainment" (Education + Entertainment). I have a solid content core, but it is delivered in a relaxed and humorous style. I like to say that I am allergic to lecture and I will spend our time discussing the information in a very interactive environment. I like to use humor, participation for everyone, and applicable situations and examples. My experience has been that this allows everyone to picture themselves in each situation, and apply the information immediately because they completely understand the where, the why, and the how-to.

When you hire me you are getting a highly experienced speaker who has spoken in dozens of different countries and to literally tens of thousands of people. Some companies I have spoken to include: Bristol Myers, Sony, Mercedes Benz, The Canadian Olympic Association, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and most of the Fortune 100 companies today.

In 2017 I was inducted into the Canadian Speaking Hall of Fame and earned my CSP (Certified Speaking Professional) in 2002. The CSP is the highest earned designation in the industry and the Hall of Fame speaks for itself. Just last year, I was awarded the Global Speaking Fellow, which indicates I have a (current) international business. I am the only worldwide who has earned their CSP, HoF, GSF and been awarded the peer recognition award, Spirit of CAPS.

I have eight books all focusing on workplace efficiency, and the ninth book is currently underway.

Make the Leap to Remarkable

I get it, you’re good at what you do – but are you remarkable? Do you really stand out as “one of the best”? Are you relying on your own self-taught skills to make you remarkable? How do you know you are doing things the "corporate" way?

The reality is that we learn on the job. We learn as the tasks get sent our way. There isn’t a “manual” on what this job means. This means that, sometimes, we need a little guidance and explanation. Are you keeping up? Are you aware of the changing dynamics to do your job in this day and age?

If you’re new to being an admin professional this could save you years of figuring out what to do. If you've been doing this for a few years you need updating! The rules, measurements, and expectations have changed. Avoid mediocrity and Make the Leap to Remarkable!

Here's What You'll Learn:

- Self-assessment tool to see how you really rank as an administrative professional in 2020
- 100+ secrets and tips to make you stand out at work
- Things to do – and things not to do (they may not be quite as much common-sense as you think - and if you aren't told, how are you supposed to know?)
- The top 10 attributes required to be remarkable. How do you compare?
- What skills are needed in 2020 and beyond? And what skills have become redundant.

The Amazing Assistant

Refine and expand the critical skills that make you better than good, they make you “Amazing.”

Finally, come to work because you want to and because you know you make a difference!

Achieve satisfaction at the end of the day because you know you excel in what you do – and others know it too! Be proud, stand tall and be confident in your ability to be an Amazing Assistant!

Here’s What You’ll Learn:

• How to communicate with confidence, credibility, and charisma – without being either pushy or a pushover
• The 15 vital interpersonal skills that amazing assistants need to master
• build and strengthen your “people” skills
• what you need to do to create the leadership qualities that make you stand out from the crowd
• develop the credibility you need to get things done without authority
• develop a winning combination of diplomacy and professionalism
• project a “take-charge” image that wins respect and recognition
• increase your effectiveness, productivity, and satisfaction!

From Admin to Strategic Partner

The days of taking dictation, personal assistance for each boss, and using typewriters ended in the 70s. The secretary is gone. Then we moved to administrative assistant, executive assistant, personal assistant, and roles in which we were supporting professionals. We supported departments, executives, and operations. We ensured business moved forward by taking care of the little details that no one noticed.

And now, we are now “Strategic Partners.” We no longer support the function of the business or the executive. We work in conjunction with the department, the executive, or the business. We are autonomous. And we are far more visible than we have ever been in the past. We are no longer invisible; we are very much a part of the success of the department, executive, or company.
Working as a strategic partner requires a mind shift in terms of how we approach our profession. This workshop is going to pull back the curtain to see what is required to be a Strategic Partner.

- What does it mean to be a Strategic Partner? How is that different from Assistant?
- What attributes do I need to have and what do I need to improve?
- Communication skills, styles, and preferences. How will this impact my partnership and I do I flex my styles?
- Perform a SWOT analysis on what is working, and what isn’t (and set goals to mark improvements)
- Understanding attitudes and behaviours and dealing with different perceptions
- Dealing with interpersonal conflict professionally
- Leadership qualities and how to demonstrate them daily

This workshop will open your eyes to your new future and successes! Come ready to share, to learn, and above all, move into the future!
