Francis Bowyer, P.P.R.W.S., N.E.A.C.

Francis Bowyer studied at St. Martins School of Art and Chelsea School of Art. The familiarity that comes with a subject, whether it is landscape, interiors or still life, is very important to him. The more a location is understood through drawing and painting, the more possibilities make themselves available to explore visually. He says of his approach “A richness and enjoyment of colour is always at the heart of the subjects that I am attracted to whilst capturing that brief moment of light or movement.”

Francis has shown his work in exhibitions both in the UK and the USA. One exhibition was a collaboration between the Royal Watercolour Society and the Royal Albert Hall, culminating in the exhibition 'A Year in the Life of the Royal Albert Hall'. Francis is a past President of the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolour and a member of the New English Art Club

Robert E. Wells, R.B.A., N.E.A.C.

Robert Wells studied at Batley School of Art and Design near Leeds. In 1988 he moved to London to study The Illustration and Rendering of Architectural Spaces at University of East London. Returning to painting, Robert extended his range of subjects to encompass landscape and city scenes, along with the inhabitants of those cities.

Many of his landscape paintings are painted ‘en plein air’ and it is in these smaller pieces that he depicts with careful observation the subtle nuances of the changing weather and light on that landscape. He has exhibited in private galleries throughout the UK. Robert is a member of the Royal Federation of British Artists, he has been recognised at the R.B.A. with many awards including the Davison Prize and the Howard de Walden Prize. He is a member of the New English Arts Club.
