Caroline has exhibited widely all over the UK including London, Manchester and Edinburgh and her pictures are appreciated in both private and public collections. Caroline characterises her work saying: “The sea is rarely far from the subjects that I paint, I have a fascination with the coastline where land and water meet. The drama of changing light and weather and the boats buildings and harbours that inhabit these areas always draw me.
I also love the coincidence of shape and composition in still life, particularly flowers. These works are an exploration of colour and texture rather than a botanical documentation”.
Caroline is a member of The Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour.

Emma is always excited by trying to capture the essence of a place in her pictures and is attracted to vivid colours and the decorative qualities of everyday objects. She enjoys rearranging the ingredients for a picture for a stronger effect. Birds, shells, flowers and fish might be placed against true landmarks as focal points. Thus her pictures are more atmospheric than literal.
Emma aims to end up with her gathered ingredients – glimpses of journeys, patterns from familiar settings and objects collected along the way – converging to create an image that communicates the richness of the original source of inspiration.

Painting is a compulsion for Jenny Wheatley, an activity as necessary as eating or sleeping. She thrives on intuition and practice, rather than on intellect and theory, and tries to create the flavour of a place, which may not be topographically accurate. Jenny paints in her studio by the sea in Cornwall, having been a professional painter for some 37 years.

Also a talented watercolourist, Jenny produces equally fine work in oil and in the various media of painting. Her work is characterised by a variety of strongly coloured patterns worked over the entire surface of each canvas or sheet of paper to sophisticated and playful effect.
