"I paint in a historic city, but I am not interested in portraying the past. Present and future
moments interest me. I hope viewers feel as if something is just about to happen. I see the arc of my work much like a plot from a book. The city is the protagonist with light and shadow as antagonist. I re-imagine daily streets into a idealized stage set, often visiting locations several times until the play of light is just right."

Caren Wynne grew up in Los Angeles California, after receiving her BA and MA from CSUF she made a long circuitous journey which lead her initially away from art but ultimately aided her in her quest to be an artist. In 2019 she opened her studio and began painting full time.

Phoebe Delaney is a figurative painter with a focus on portraiture, working exclusively in oil. Primarily self- taught, she learned to paint by studying and copying the work of the masters, further pursuing her learning of traditional techniques at the Academy of Realist Art in Boston. 

Though classical in style and execution, Delaney's work is decidedly contemporary, treading  the fine line between building on the art of the past while clearly speaking to our current time. With a subdued palette, her works have a quiet, timeless quality that is the hallmark of an artist with a firm grasp of the most important elements in the creation of a timeless painting. Williams Fine Art is pleased to be showing Delaney's beautiful work.

Master Still Life painter Dale Zinkowski was born in New York and his earliest memories of painting and drawing were from his Grandfather's own work, which hung throughout the home. Fascinated by the world around him, and the ability to capture fleeting moments on paper, he began to draw and paint from nature almost exclusively. 

From 1993-97, he attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City where he studied the Reilly method with both Marvin Mattelson and John F. Murray. Inspired by the techniques, and hungry for more information, he began copying from the old masters at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.  

When Murray moved his studio to Tucson, Arizona, Dale followed and focused his studies on the palettes, methods, and materials of artists such as Velazquez and Rembrandt.  

In 2012, Dale attended the Florence Academy of Art in Italy, where he pushed his understanding of traditional techniques and materials even further while drawing and painting master copies in museums and painting landscapes in the countryside.    In 2013, Dale returned to New York City, where he immersed himself in the full-time program at Grand Central Atelier studying under Jacob Collins, Ted Minoff, Will St. John and Colleen Barry. 

Dale now lives in France and is in high demand as a teacher of painting throughout ateliers all over Europe. Williams Fine Art is pleased to bring Dale’s exquisite works to the US throughout his sojourn abroad.
