FAQs

Is the Elmslie House fully accessible to wheelchair users?

There is good wheelchair access to the Hall, however, as we are a listed building installing modifications to allow better accessibility is difficult

Is there off street parking?

We are very happy to accommodate your wedding car on the drive but as Elmslie House is a private home, there’s unfortunately no parking at the house itself as access to the driveway is needed all the time. However, there is a large pay and display car park nearby (on Priory Road) and plenty of on street parking on the roads surrounding the house.

Can we have candles?

As Elmslie House is Grade 11 listed we do not allow real candles or sparklers to be used (battery tea lights are a great, re-usable option!)

Can we have confetti?

We are more than happy for you to have confetti on your tables and in the garden provided that it is bio-degradable & preferably natural;

Can we have round tables?

We provide rectangular trestle tables but should you prefer round tables these can be hired in at extra cost. Please note our standard white tablecloths will not cover a round table so linen will also be required

Can we bring our dog?

We are happy to accommodate assistance dogs but sadly your pets will need to stay home

Can we provide our own catering / caterers?

Yes, contact us to have a chat but we are happy for you to bring in your own catering. A fee may apply depending on your use of the kitchen equipment
