The History Of Coors Field
Let’s start at the beginning. 1839 baseball was just invented by Abner Doubleday (pronounced av-ner). Every game has to have rules and it was up to Alexander Joy Cartwright to create them for this game. In 1845, the rules of baseball were established. Through the time period a lot happened for baseball. The civil war started and women created their own team. After the war women were earning rights, and baseball was becoming a national sport. In 2002 everyone was gaining rights, Asians, Americans, Africans, everybody!
Baseball arrived in Colorado in 1985 and nobody really noticed it. The game was starting off and we didn’t know what to think of it; was it a safe game? Or another sport that would have to be played in privacy?
The game of baseball began in 1991 for the Rockies. The team was created in 1993 and on April 26, 1995 Coors Field opened. Colorado had no idea how busy it would get. With a capacity of 50,445 seats to fit a cheerful crowd, it was now baseball season.
The Rockies are currently members of the National League West Division with a reputation of having great runs and players. The Rockies, who won one championship in 2007, have been through a lot. From winning the championship and losing to the American League champion Boston Red Sox four games to none to having the crowd go wild for their fantastic runs.. Nonetheless they came back fighting upon their next meet/game to show who the Red Sox have to deal with.
We all know that the Rockies have hit a few slumps, but what about other teams? Have they had bad games? The answer is yes! Every sports team have had a bad game and we all know that. So have the pros.
Soon after people started noticing the sport, people started playing and watching the sport. It had come alive. The best part is that you can watch the marvelous sport at home or from the stadium. All through the history of the sport everyone has come to see that baseball is a fascinating sport.
